40+ STUDENTS

1000+ LINES OF CODE.

During our first virtual hackathon, students were given 24 hours with a team to complete our challenge: "Design an app, game, or animation using Code.org, Scratch, or any platform to address a particular issue that has affected your community in the COVID-19 pandemic". Throughout the course of Virtual Hackathon 1.0, students collaborated on TFC-hosted virtual platforms to create projects and submitted their entries to win cash prizes. THE EVENT

40+ students. 2 divisions. 4 hours of code. During our virtual workshops, which took place for 4 hours over the 17th and 18th, students learned how to code in Javascript and Python.

A rising senior in Plano who has won 1st place and grand prize at the Plano East science fair for a machine learning app coded in Python + President of Girls in STEM Plano East.
